Come back to your shoreline, where light can find you again.

Helping you heal what life has left behind

When something feels off , we begin with what feels real, and we go gently.

Do you recognize yourself here?

✦You feel changed after a loss, an illness, a breakup, or shock.

✦You’re functioning… but you don’t feel like you.

✦You have persistent heaviness, dread, or fatigue that interferes with your life.

✦You feel emotionally numb, stuck, or unable to access joy.

✦Your nervous system won’t settle, leading to sleep disturbances, anxiety, irritability, and hypervigilance.

✦You feel unusually burdened by shame, fear, or old memories.

What can be happening underneath

Grief that didn’t get time

After your loss, life kept moving—so, you did too. But your body may still be holding it: heaviness, numbness, or sudden waves that come out of nowhere.

Protection that never got turned off

There was a long period during which your system had to stay alert. Even now, you might still be braced—tight chest, restless mind, shallow breath—like safety never fully arrived.

A weight that doesn’t feel like you

You’re doing your best, yet something feels layered on top of you: fog, heaviness, “not quite me.” It may be accumulated stress—or old family burdens you never chose.

A life shift that cracked your sense of self

A loss, a move, a breakup, a long period of looking after others, retirement—suddenly the old you doesn’t fit. You’re here, but your sense of identity feels scattered, like you’re rebuilding from the inside.

Sometimes healing is quiet: one small act of tending, and life begins to feel possible again.

A Grounded Way Forward

Making Sense of What You’re Feeling

We slow things down and look at what is happening—what triggers it, where you feel it in your body, what it may be trying to protect, and what helps it begin to settle.

Why Deeper Healing Can Last

Sometimes, change does not happen because the deeper layer has not been reached. You may know what happened and still feel stuck in the same fear, pain, or reaction. This work helps you to uncover and heal what lies beneath, so change can begin at the root and carry over into your daily life.

What Becomes Possible

Woman in a light dress and straw hat sits on a wooden dock facing a calm lake, with picnic baskets on a cloth and birds flying in a muted sky.

When everything goes still, even a simple view can feel like medicine.

What Becomes Possible

Feel lighter inside

Feel the inner pressure begin to ease. Many people notice more breath, less tightness, and a calmer nervous system—so you’re not bracing your way through the day.

Come Back to Yourself

When the fog lifts, you can hear yourself again. This work helps you reconnect with your emotions and inner guidance, so decisions feel clearer and you feel more like you.

Stronger Boundaries & Energy

Stop carrying what is not yours. This work helps clear what has built up through old patterns and difficult relationships, so you feel less drained and steadier in your daily life.

When everything goes still, even a simple view can feel like medicine.

A grounded approach to deep healing

When Deeper Things Begin to Surface

My practice is grounded in the understanding that your experiences can affect your body, mind, and spirit, leaving you feeling unsettled, burdened, or unsure of how to find their way back.

Rooted in Experienced Shamanic Practice

This work is grounded in experienced shamanic practice, shaped by years of healing work and offered in a steady, respectful way.

Working Carefully with What Comes Up

This work also includes hypnotherapy and past-life regression when they are a good fit. This approach supports careful work when strong memories, emotions, or meaningful inner experiences arise.

For What Still Feels Hard to Shift

Often, anxiety, grief, shame, or hard-to-explain symptoms run deeper than we realize. Even when you understand what happened, something in you may still feel stuck, reactive, or weighed down. This is where my work begins — I use a blended approach to help you uncover what lies beneath and find the healing path that best fits you.

You Are Welcome Here

This practice is open to all. You do not need to follow a particular path or hold any special beliefs. You only need a sincere desire for healing and a readiness to begin where you are. Call me, let’s talk.

Reflections

Where Healing Takes Root

Thank you again so much for our hypnosis session – it has had wonderfully positive effects!!! It was like finally being successful in extracting the full deep roots of an emotional weed that has been inhabiting my sense of self my entire life! That ‘weed’ that was stealing space and energy is now GONE for good!!! What a freeing experience…

Guided to Clarity and Renewal

“In the past ten years, I’ve often had the privilege of experiencing the healing skills of Shaman John Moir. John brings into his Shamanic calling a personal desire for the wellness of others, body, and soul. His wisdom and knowledge form the structure of his work, but his deep, natural compassion allows one to trust oneself to the healing process and be drawn into renewed hope and renewed life.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Hypnotherapy is a focused, relaxed state where we work with patterns held beneath the surface (habits, emotions, protective responses). You’re not unconscious, and you don’t lose control—you can speak, pause, or stop at any time. People can also resist suggestions that don’t fit them.

Shamanic healing is a spiritual (not religious) approach that works with intention, imagery, and energetic/spiritual clearing to support emotional relief and reconnection. You don’t need to share any particular belief system. We keep the language grounded and only go as far into “spiritual terms” as you’re comfortable going.

Think of them as two doorways to the same goal: helping what’s stuck begin to move. Hypnotherapy can work gently with the subconscious and nervous system patterns; shamanic work can support clearing burdens, strengthening boundaries, and reconnecting parts of self. In practice, we choose what fits you—your comfort level, your goals, and what your system is ready for.

Yes—many people come for grief that won’t move, anxiety/heaviness that won’t settle, or disconnection and numbness. We don’t force emotion or push you to relive pain. We work at a pace your system can hold, aiming for steadiness, relief, and real-life integration.

This work is gentle, paced, and consent-based—you stay in control and we can slow down or stop at any time. It can complement therapy or medical care, but it isn’t crisis support or a replacement for mental health treatment. If you feel unsafe or are in an acute crisis, the right next step is immediate professional support.

Remote hypnotherapy and shamanic healing methods via video are widely used and appear acceptable to clients, with research discussing their effectiveness and accessibility compared with in-person options. Many people also find it easier to go inward from the safety of their own space.

Past Life Regression & Transpersonal Hypnotherapy

A first step if you have questions or want to see if this work feels right for you.

If anxiety, grief, shame, or old patterns keep taking hold, this work helps uncover what may be underneath. Through shamanic healing, transpersonal hypnotherapy, and regression therapy, the goal is to help you feel clearer, more grounded, and more like yourself again, and perhaps find the healing you have been looking for.
